Mid & Senior GitLab & DevOps Engineer – CI/CD Automation

As a Senior / Mid-Level GitLab & DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading technology organization dedicated to empowering product teams with cutting-edge DevOps solutions. Your contribution will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, reliable CI/CD platforms that enable rapid, secure, and automated software delivery. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage GitLab components, configurations, and integrations across multiple projects.

• Build and maintain shared CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates, and best practices for scalable delivery.

• Integrate additional DevOps tooling such as artifact repositories, secret management, security testing (SAST/DAST), and observability solutions.

• Implement and maintain enterprise-grade GitLab Runners with Kubernetes, autoscaling, Docker, and shell environments.

• Contribute to test automation frameworks and embed quality gates within pipelines to ensure code integrity.

• Explore and deploy AI-enabled use cases such as intelligent test selection and pipeline optimization, ensuring responsible AI governance.

• Collaborate with security, platform, and product teams to enforce policies, standardize workflows, and boost developer productivity.

• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, costs, and reliability, establishing SLAs/SLOs and KPIs.

• Prepare documentation, runbooks, and internal enablement materials; deliver training and Tier 2/3 support for GitLab tools.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or related fields.

• Strong expertise in GitLab administration and DevSecOps practices.

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).

• Proficiency in programming with Python and Java.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive "get things done" mentality.

• Effective teamwork, coordination, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Polish language skills.

• Knowledge of additional languages such as German or Spanish.

• Certification in DevSecOps, Kubernetes, or related areas.

• Practical experience with AI-driven DevOps solutions and pipeline optimization.

• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
