Develop a meaningful application which aims to make the financial market safer while “Devopsing” in Google Cloud!

Since the 2008 financial crisis, regulators around the globe have implemented regulation to prevent the risk of, and consequences from, the failure of systemically relevant financial institutions. A key component of these regulations is the requirement for banks to prepare and implement Recovery and Resolution Plans (RRP), also known as “living wills”, which outline how the bank would regain viability if under severe financial stress and the steps regulators, both local and home country, could take if needed to resolve the institution with minimal impact to the financial stability of the economy.

As a Devops Engineer, you will join a scrum team of tech-savvy engineers responsible for the development of an application with different components developed in ReactJs, Python & Tableau & Google Cloud. The team uses the latest paragdism of software development with 2 weeks sprints, CI/CD and latest technologies available on the market. The aim of application to be developed is focused on recovery and resolution options that would be implemented in various stress scenarios, demonstrating the orderly wind-down of operations while ensuring the continuation of critical functions throughout a hypothetical Bank’s bankruptcy.

Your main responsibilities: Devops !

DevOps working on FMF solution in IT team
Managing DEV, QA , UAT and PROD environments. Deploying configurations and application in each environment.
Develop Python or Bash scripts to automate deployment process.
Responsible for infrastructure management for the team.
Debug critical problems on production environment with minimal turnaround time
Responsible for in-house monitoring and maintenance of softwares.
Run DEV,UAT,QA and PROD pipelines.
Ingesting data in HDFS using Sqoop , LFTP.
Creating and scheduling tasks using Airflow
Setting up Kerberized cluster.
Perform common SCM practices such as branching , tagging and code merge in Subversion and GIT.
Managing and reviewing HDFS log files.
Resolving issues in Cluster performance , SPARK and HIVE jobs

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

Linux knowledge
Automation Tool : Ansible or Salt
Proficiency in scripting language such as Python or Bash.
Docker
Git, svn – Knowledge in common SCM practices like branching, merging
Work for extended hours to support production runs
