As a Database Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global bank committed to innovative digital solutions and empowering careers in a dynamic financial environment. You will support the management and secure operation of critical database environments, contributing to the stability and agility of their digital ecosystem.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain database environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Plan, test, and execute database and OS patching (Linux/Windows), minimizing system disruptions.
- Ensure system security, stability, and compliance through timely patching and vulnerability management.
- Support automation initiatives and coordinate maintenance windows with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure and application teams to reduce downtime and optimize operations.
- Implement best practices for security, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database or OS-related issues promptly.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 3 years of solid DBA experience, with strong exposure to Oracle database administration.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of patching processes, system availability, and reliability requirements.
- Basic scripting or automation skills to streamline routine tasks.
- Understanding of vulnerability remediation and security best practices.
- Experience working within structured change management environments.
- Fluent English language skills (spoken and written).
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications in Oracle, Linux, or Windows administration.
- Experience with automation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Shell, PowerShell).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms or containerization technologies.
