This is a Wrocław-based hybrid opportunity – 3 days from home per week.

As a Data Support Engineer, you will be working for our client – a global leader in quantitative and systematic investment management. You will be responsible for supporting quantitative researchers and traders in navigating and using extensive datasets.

Your main responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support to researchers and traders for data access and usage.
• Collaborate with data engineers to resolve data issues.
• Onboard new hires and train them on using data tools and processes efficiently.
• Manage JIRA workflows, track support requests, and ensure timely resolution of data issues.
• Contribute to data documentation.
• Extend data coverage through live collection and backfills.

You're ideal for the role if you have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience in data support, IT helpdesk, or technical support, ideally within finance.
• Strong command of Python and data libraries.
• Proficiency with data systems, pipelines, and APIs.
• Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.
