Cloud Devops Engineer (Azure/GCP)

Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day in the office/week)

As a Cloud Engineer DevOps/Admin, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, on designing and building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments for the Data Warehouse department. You will participate in internal software testing with a focus on task automation, collaborate with deployment teams from concept to continuous development, and plan and develop infrastructure monitoring systems. Your role also includes promoting best practices for cloud platforms and supporting technical specification reviews.

Your main responsibilities:

• Work on projects in public, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments to design and build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments
• Design and participate in internal software tests focusing on task automation
• Collaborate with deployment teams from concept through implementation to continuous development
• Plan, implement, and develop infrastructure, application, and service monitoring systems in the cloud
• Design and develop automated environment creation and configuration management processes
• Develop infrastructure as code
• Design and implement continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Maintain applications in containers
• Analyze, handle, and resolve detected issues
• Create and update technical system documentation
• Promote best practices for cloud platforms
• Support technical specification reviews and project documentation

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Higher education in a technical field (IT preferred)
• Experience working in regulated corporate environments
• At least 4 years of experience in complex data processing environments
• At least 2 years of experience with Azure or Google Cloud
• At least 3 years of experience as a creator, architect, developer, deployment engineer, or CI/CD specialist for cloud applications using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Azure DevOps
• At least 1 year of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using standard industry tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef)
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
• Proficiency in Git and experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or equivalents
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and container technologies like Docker
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for technical documentation and communication with international teams

Nice to have:

• Cloud technology certifications (Azure, GCP preferred)
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN), networking devices, Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancer, HTTP(s), SSH, TCP/IP, network services (REST, SOAP)
• Experience working with Machine Learning platforms and tools
• Experience as a database administrator
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS, Pig, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka
