As a Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, as part of the Product Control team within Global Finance Operations. The primary focus of this role is to support the implementation of the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) regulatory requirements, particularly the Profit and Loss Attribution Test (PLAT), by enhancing data quality, alignment, and communication between Product Control and Traded Risk.
Your main responsibilities:
- Analyze fx position processes and facilitate alignment with Traded Risk
- Educate Traded Risk on Product Control business processes regarding fx position and fx P&L
- Analyze P&L Explain data exceptions and identify their causes
- Improve governance of adjustments made by Product Control
- Manage the resolution of data exceptions, including documentation and testing
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Prior experience in project delivery, especially in improving data quality and governance
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in banking/ finance area
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a team effectively
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project lifecycle methodologies
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of Global Market Products and behaviors
- Understanding of financial regulations, particularly FRTB
- Part-qualified accountant status
- Experience working with IT development teams and stakeholders from different locations
- Rapid learning capability and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and task completion
