Project description:
We're looking for an experienced R programmer to a software project focused on the development of Shiny applications for the analysis of in-vivo data. Applications employ cutting-edge statistical methods and visualization to analyze real-life data from translational research experiments, providing researchers with a complete data analysis pipeline, from data collection to reporting.
Requirements:
- Documented proficiency in R programming (a portfolio of R code, e.g., on GitHub, will be a plus),
- Knowledge of good programming practices (Shiny, unit testing, writing R packages, version control systems, etc.),
- Practical knowledge of R programming in statistical analysis
- Practical knowledge of data visualization techniques (familiarity with ggplot2 or Plotly is a plus),
- Experience with Linux command lineAt least an MSc. degree in a field related to life sciences (bioinformatics, physics, chemistry, etc.) OR practical experience with scientific projects, preferably in biomedical research
- Good command of English language
Nice to have:
- Being able to propose effective and scalable solution architecture,
- Experience with backend integration via APIs (REST, JSON over HTTP, etc.)
- Database skills (relational, NoSQL),
- Practical knowledge of containerization tools and technologies (e.g., Docker),
- Experience with team programming (code review, pair programming, etc.),
- Good cross-technical teams communication skills to ensure the right solution is being developed looking from overall system perspective,
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
