Job description

Join the team who develop global web-application at the insurance market. You will join an international team in Vienna and work in Java SE and Eclipse architecture in scrum methodology.

MAIN TASKS

Participation in the development of the web application
Work with Java SE
Implementation of new functionalities
Participation in developing the architecture of the solution
Care for application quality in cooperation with testers
Teamwork in scrum methodology

MAIN REQUIREMENTS

At least 5+ years of experience in a programming position
Very good understanding of Java/OOP concepts like interfaces, abstract classes, Generics, Thread, JDBC, Collections framework, Exception Handling; experience in developing java based GUI applications (which framework not important)
Practical experience with developing JUnit tests, using a mocking framework
Good understanding of relational Data model, able to write SQL Queries (select, insert, Update)
Experience with API development (RESTful Web Services, JAX-RS) and API tools like Postman
Basic knowledge about Linux as an operating system, no programming skills necessary, just basic Linux commands (vi, grep, sudo, netstat and so on)
Practical experience with version management systems like GIT or SVN
