The Information Technology department of Íslandsbanki is a collaborative group of software development professionals who work together following best practices and processes to deliver high quality software solutions and capability.

Due to growing needs of the IT department We are looking for Webmethods Senior Administrator for the Platforms team that is responsible for system/network administration and incident management. 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, management and support of Software AG webMethods components, including, Integration Server (IS), BPM, Adapter(s), My webMethods Server (MWS),Terracotta, in multiple environments (Development, Test, Staging, and Production).
  • Support sustainment operations including directly troubleshooting production issues of deployed webMethods based solutions. React quickly to system failures, minimizing system downtime.
  •  Work across teams to ensure the highest level platform performance, availability and disaster recovery. Lead and perform the annual DR/Business Continuity test for Software AG webMethods components and webMethods based solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for supported systems including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, failure response procedures (FRP), disaster recovery procedures (DRP), and operations acceptance package (OAP).
     

 Requirements:

  • Strong technical background with a minimum of 7 years professional experience within a full-service integration environment, preferably with Software AG webMethods and webMethods-based solutions.
  • Experience with integration servers, specifically, experience with Software AG webMethods Integration Server product.
  • Experience with Software AG webMethods Universal messaging
  • Experience with adapters, specifically, experience with Software AG webMethods JDBC adapters.
  • Experience with  Java-based development (JSP/Servlets, JMS, JDBC, etc.) Web Services (REST/SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) .
  • Experience in middleware software installation, configuration, tuning and administration, as well as experience with application development, specifically, experience with the Software AG webMethods product suite.
  • Must be familiar with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of networks, software version control concepts, authentication and authorisation security concepts. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management and version control practices
