We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team and help us deliver high-quality Angular web applications for an Icelandic bank. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium, NgWebDriver, and other tools. You will also collaborate with developers, testers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that the applications meet the requirements and expectations.


As a test automation engineer, you will:

  • Create and execute automated test cases using Selenium, and other tools
  • Support developers with writing tests during deveopment phase
  • Apply behavior-driven development (BDD) principles and practices to automate testing scenarios
  • Identify, report, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools
  • Review and update test documentation and test plans
  • Research and evaluate new test automation tools and technologies


To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in test automation using Selenium and/or other tools like Cypress
  • Experience in testing Angular web applications 
  • Experience in using BDD tools, such as Cucumber, to automate testing scenarios
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies, such as functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and tools, such as Scrum and Jira
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset
