The Information Technology department of Íslandsbanki is a collaborative group of software development professionals who work together following best practices and processes to deliver high quality software solutions and capability.

Due to growing needs of the IT department we are looking for a candidate to join our infrastructure team as a System Administrator/System Engineer that could also work as an Oracle DBA. The candidate would take part in daily operations of our Linux servers and the Oracle database environment.


Core Capabilities:

  •  min. of 2 years professional experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of  Linux systems
  • Patch management of Linux systems
  • Oracle DBA experience
  • Debugging experience in an enterprise environment (multi-vendor) 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools
  • Good understanding of networks 
  • Solution oriented and quick learner 

Plus:

  • Docker and/or Kubernetes experience
  • Monitoring knowledge
