The Information Technology department of Íslandsbanki is a collaborative group of software development professionals who work together following best practices and processes to deliver high quality software solutions and capability.

We are currently looking for a SQL Developer for Day 2 Day Team.
Responsibilities and duties
- Design/model and develop data solutions and data integrations
- Automate data and delivery pipelines
- Participate in product development through cross team collaboration.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to determine best practices and requirements for software.
- Designing software for automatic testability, recoverability from failures, built in privacy and security.
- Development of intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of our internal users and customers.
- Continuous improvements of operational software, automation, testing, monitoring, performance and overall quality.
Core Capabilities
- Strong technical background with a minimum of 3 years professional experience building data solutions.
- Programming experience in SQL tools required
- Experience working with relational databases (MSSQL Server preferred, Oracle a plus)
- Experience modelling and analysing data for storage, usage and presentation.
- Experience with batch scheduling, chaining and failure design required (Dollar Universe experience a plus).
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and Git (Liquibase a plus).
- Experience in ETL tooling is a plus.
- Experience developing in .Net is a plus
- Experience with Azure data solutions or other cloud data solutions a plus.
- Experience with event and streaming data a plus.
- Good English language skills
- Excellent programming, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working in banking or Fintech is a plus.
