The Information Management and Finance Solutions Team is looking for a Data Architect. His primary role will be to design and oversee the development of an unified data access layer from the enterprise data warehouse normalized data storage layer for consumption into business intelligence tooling, reports and analytical insight solutions.
Responsibilities and duties
- Participate in product development through cross team collaboration.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to determine best practices and requirements for software.
- Designing software for automatic testability, recoverability from failures, built in privacy and security.
- Development of intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of our internal users and customers.
- Continuous improvements of operational software, automation, testing, monitoring, performance and overall quality.
Core Capabilities
- Min. of 6 years professional experience building data warehouse solutions through ETL tooling and relational databases.
- Experience working on multiple data warehouses and experience designing/architecting a data warehouse (preferably more than one and preferably in the cloud).
- Experience with Oracle relational databases (MSSQL Server as well a plus).
- Experience modelling and analysing data for storage, usage and presentation.
- Experience with batch scheduling, chaining and failure design required (Dollar Universe experience a plus).
- Experience with Business Objects Data Services a plus.
- Experience with event and streaming data a plus.
- Experience with R, Python or equivalent is a plus.
- Experience with business intelligence tooling is a plus.
- Experience with Azure data solutions or other cloud data solutions a plus.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD and Git a plus.
Qualifications
- 6 years of experience as a software developer or engineer is required.
- Good English verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent programming, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to learn new coding languages and technologies.
- Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes
- Working knowledge of authentication and authorization security concepts
- Experience working in banking or Fintech is a plus.
