About the project:
For a project with our client 1010data, we are looking for an expert software developer with excellent knowledge of Python. Our main goal is to automate some parts of 1010data’s platform and to find a solution to standardize the data ingestion pipeline so it can be maintained easier and supported by one team. There are several things that need to be built, and we aim for the most efficient sort of services that can be done.
About the role:
As an expert software developer, you will be working with Python (Python 3.7+), Redis, Postgres, Vue.js. You will have an opportunity to contribute and be fully engaged in a project, where you can check yourself as a leader by being the owner and maintainer. Industry experience in building backend services in Python is crucial. Moreover, you are familiar with designing and building production ready APIs as well as with modern frontend technologies such as vue.js or react.js. You know Apache Kafka and Apache Airflow or you have heard of them and you are willing to pick them up.
You will ensure that you produce robust, secure, modular, and maintainable code. You will coordinate with other team members, including data scientists, data engineers, full stack developers, and UX/UI designers. Your commitment to team collaboration, perfect communication, and a quality product is crucial.
What you will take on:
- Design event-driven backend services and APIs;
- Work closely with the data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, quality assurance, documentation, and product teams;
- Respond to bug reports and feature requests from our data scientists and data engineers.
What you already have:
- High proficiency of Python 3.7+ and its ecosystem (asyncio, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, etc.);
- Experience with docker, k8s, and bitbucket;
- Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture;
- Interest and willingness to quickly pick-up new programming languages.
