Job description
This position is an administrator position for primarily MSSQL databases and secondarily for Windows operating system related tasks.
The Database administrator will work closely with IT Operations Engineers for managing DB and System operations for Bespoke applications: new application projects, environments implementation (Production, Staging and Tests), incident/change/problem management as well as optimization and automation by applying Devops practices. Be part of a worldwide Operations team (Fluent English mandatory).
Key accountabilities
MSSQL related:

Key accountabilities
MSSQL related:
- Overall database technical responsibilities, also encompassing the integration of add-on commercial database products suites
- Customization, maintenance and support under 24x7 rigorous operational conditions
- Close work with various teams for supporting and promoting products, features, and releases
- Problem determination & debugging
- Diagnostic and tuning strategy for demanding OLTP applications, including SQL optimization
- Planning, scheduling and securing database backups
- Documentation
- Evaluation of new products and technologies
- Project management and/or team core-member representation
- On-call roaster participation
Windows related:
- Investigate, debug and solve relevant Operating System or other Systems Software problems
- Follow relevant developments within the IT industry
- Assist the user population in resolving any technical issue they may raise
- Install relevant software products as required
- Recommend changes to enhance the stability and performance of the relevant areas
- Professional Skills (IT Skills)
- 3+ years as an operational DBA in a 24x7 MSSQL environment
- Knowledge on .Net Architecture and Application server
- Knowledge on MS Windows systems and network administration
- Knowledge on VMWare
- Good understanding of the build and release process
- Good knowledge of T-SQL language
- Knowledge of Internet protocols and applications
- Cloud computing experience
- Devops capabilities : ELK, Containerization, automated deployment tools …
- Microsoft IIS server administration
- MS-SQL administration and T-SQL language knowledge
- MongoDb administration and query language knowledge is a plus
- Linux/Unix systems administration knowledge is a plus
- Proficiency in English
