Big Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at Inter Cars S.A., you will play a crucial role in shaping our data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers, to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Become a member of a Core team of developers and help us shape the future of our data engineering and build an event sourcing architecture.
• Design and develop data structures, pipelines and ETL processes to help move and transform terabytes of data between the applications.
• Execute Data Governance practices, keeping our data secure, transparent and in good quality.
• Optimize data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Experience 5+ years in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and distributed data storage systems.
• Good understanding of relational databases and practical SQL.
• Good understanding of no relational databases like HBase, Hive, Casandra, Scylla.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, or similar.
