Online interview

We’re currently seeking a passionate freelance Senior iOS Developer to join our forthcoming projects. As a freelancer cooperating with intent, you'll have the chance to work on diverse IoT projects, contributing your expertise to our team. At the moment, there are no ongoing projects, but we eagerly await upcoming opportunities and are keen to engage with talented iOS Developers.

intent has over 10+ years of experience in helping to conceptualize, design, and build apps for IoT and connected devices. We're a software house that acts as a specialized think partner for products at the intersection of physical and digital (like wearables and IoT) - from net-new to products looking to enter a competitive and established niche. Some of our clients include Oura, BOSE, and McIntosh audio systems.

💎 Requirements: 3+ years in Swift, experience in CI and writing Unit Tests, BLE, English B2+

💰 Salary: 15-30K net on B2B depending on your experience.

🏝️ Perks and benefits: 100% remote work, flexible working hours, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Moreover, if after a few months of working together, we're all on the same page, then definitely we’ll gladly invite you to join our internal intent team for long-term collaboration and you’ll enjoy all the benefits, such as paid holidays, paid sick leave, training budget, and much more!

What you'll do:

  • Design, build, and maintain iOS applications.
  • Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
  • Sharing knowledge with your teammates on a regular basis.
  • Attend daily calls with a project team.

What we expect:

  • A proven track record in Swift projects (2 years or more).
  • Experience in continuous integration (Github Actions, Travis, or Bitrise).
  • Experience in writing Unit Tests (XCTest or Quick and Nimble)/ TDD.
  • Participation in the specification, planning, and quotation of new product modules and features.
  • Structured concurrency knowledge.
  • At least B2 English skills (both written and spoken).
  • Out-of-the-box thinking and creativity (we care about your problem-solving skills, not the lines of code you write).
  • Following high-quality programming standards.
  • Keeping track of the industry developments and taking the initiative to incorporate these into the company technologies.
  • Engagement and team-play.

It’d be nice if you have:

  • Hands-on experience in development for any other mobile OS platform or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with writing apps communicating with peripherals over Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Some experience with IoT projects.
  • Functional reactive programming knowledge would be a big plus.
  • Scrum (or other Agile) development method experience.
  • Passionate for mobile and technology.
  • Attention to detail.

Tools you’ll use:

  • Jira, Confluence.
  • Slack, Zoom, GSuite.

Recruitment process:

  1. A screening call with an HR person (45 mins).
  2. A technical interview with the live coding part (max 90 mins).
  3. Final feedback received within a couple of days after the interview.

Join us on this exciting journey where you'll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects and shape the future of the IoT industry. Embrace the challenge, unleash your creativity, and be part of a team that is passionate about making a real impact in the world of technology 🦾
