Job description

Intel's Artificial Intelligence Product Group (AIPG) is seeking an experienced System Software Engineer to support growth of our engineering team in Gdansk, Poland. This is an excellent opportunity to make a global impact and join the dynamic team developing and validating software for Intel NervanaTM Neural Network Processor.

In this role you will:
  • Work on low-level software for Intel's first Deep Learning Accelerator.
  • Be responsible for software enabling (device drivers) of the Neural Network Processor hardware.
  • Demonstrate and role-model excellent collaboration skills beyond organizational and geographical boundaries.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of computer architecture: CPU, SOC, chipsets, BIOS, firmware, drivers.
  • Proven track record of architecting, designing, and delivering SW/FW solutions.
  • Demonstrate technical leadership and inter-personal leadership skills.
  • Excellent customer communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-geographical development environment, coordinating with other architects, engineers, marketers, and planners.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision in relatively unstructured environment.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

Preferred:
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SW/FW design or development.

Nice to have:
  • Familiarity with neural networks, deep learning concepts and/or prior experience in working with deep learning tools/frameworks.
  • experience in development of hardware-optimized SW (low level DSP algorithms, assembly language).
