As a part of Linux Core team, you will be responsible for development and validation of various Linux graphics stack components, running on simulation environments for future platforms pre-silicon and on actual hardware post-silicon.
Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Gaining in-depth knowledge of Intel graphics features
- Using a structured approach in designing, developing and testing graphics system-level software
- Providing feedback to internal and external teams about new graphics features
- Ensuring our hardware and software will function and perform as expected
- Contributing to Open Source projects
- Root-causing and resolving issues
You will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively work with cross geo teams of software validation and development engineers, graphics hardware architects, product validation, marketing, legal and support teams to productize and innovate cutting edge graphics features. You will have opportunity to make impact on future hardware design and software improvements to deliver best in class products.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of experience in computer science or equivalent or Master's Degree with 3+ years of experience in computer science or equivalent
- Technical understanding of operating systems internals
- Solid experience with kernel and drivers
- Knowledge and hands on experience of Linux software development
- Knowledge of software revision control tools
- Knowledge of various debugging, logging and tracing tools
- Proven proficiency in C/C++
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior contributions to Linux kernel graphics driver or any other part of Linux kernel or any other open source project
- Experience in hardware simulation, emulation or virtualization technologies
- Deep knowledge of Linux graphics stack
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python is a plus
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
