DevOps Engineer

For 13 years Inteca has gained experience in implementing projects for large companies in Poland, mainly in the finance, banking and service sectors. We provide consulting services in the area of implementation and integration of IT systems, enterprise architecture, business process automation, API Management and enterprise applications. Our custom development services are complemented by IT Architecture consulting. Working with clients, we focus on optimizing IT investment, their correlation with the business objectives of the enterprise, and planning and building effective business and IT Architecture.

We are a team of consultants and software engineers with extensive experience in implementing projects using Agile methodology. We support the software development process with our proprietary Model Driven Engineering approach – developed over the years of our work. What You’ll Do:

• Leverage common Infrastructure as Code tools to define kubernetes environments and workloads.
• Propose and implement solutions according to business requirements, working closely with other company departments to understand business and technical needs.
• Utilize Configuration Management and Continuous Deployment tools to orchestrate delivery of applications to stateless and stateful stacks and resources.
• Migrate operations of bare metal and VM hosted applications to containers and serverless.
• Migrate operations of non scalable and/or non highly available platforms to a high availability and scalable architecture (web applications, databases, storage, etc).
• Migrate on-premise data and applications to Kubernetes.
• Implement process automations for application and platform operations and delivery.
• Implement optimized Kubernetes architectures that account for cost, availability, and scalability needs.

Education

• Higher degree in computer science or other sciences (e.g., mathematics, physics).
• Certifications related to Kubernetes/Openshift preferred.

Experience

• 8 years of commercial experience
• 2-3 years of experience with Kubernetes/Openshift
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (eg. Terraform)
• Scripting experience on Linux or Windows (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
• Experience managing common security controls (IAM, Least Privilege, Firewall, Patching, Antivirus, etc.)
• Experience with traditional VM, container (Docker, Kubernetes), or serverless based architectures
• Understanding of enterprise, network, system and application-level architecture
• Experience utilizing common source control systems (git, SVN) and project structure/organization
• 2-3 years system engineering/administration experience on Linux or Windows
• Experience with CI practices with a common tool (GitLab, Jenkins)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Polish
