We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer/DataOps to help manage the data pipelines at the core of our product. This role would be situated at the crossroads of Infrastructure and Business Intelligence teams. You will support our data operations across the organization and manage our cloud-native infrastructure that supports analytical workload. We are open to all the adjustments and changes that might improve our data operations stack. This is a unique opportunity to become the first DataOps Engineer in the company and impact the data streamline flow according to your vision and expertise.
Requirements and skills
- 2+ years of commercial experience (software development or DevOps/DataOps/Data Engineer experience)
- Good understanding of DevOps culture, infrastructure, and automation
- Strong SQL skills (we are using CloudSQL along with keeping the whole infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of Big Data/ELT technology (as a Medtech company, we are also working on massive datasets of medical data, so the knowledge of Big Data technology is very much needed, especially in the context of cloud solutions)
- Familiarity with BigQuery, Snowflake, or any other similar solution (our BI team is using BigQuery as a data warehouse which enabling to control access to both the project and data based on our business needs)
- Hands-on experience with GCP / AWS / Azure (GCP preferred)
- Experience managing and automating cloud infrastructure, ideally using Infrastructure as Code approach (we use Terraform for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure)
- Previous experience in a DataOps role is advantageous but not strictly necessary
It would be even better if you have:
- Good command of Python or Go
- Experience using containerization and automated deployment technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience operating in the dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
