Improve Digital is the leading European Programmatic Advertising Platform for Publishers, Content Providers and Broadcasters. In 2018, Improve Digital merged with the international entertainment group Orange Games and is headquartered in Amsterdam with further offices in Antwerp, Barcelona, London, Munich, Milan, and Paris.
The DevOps/Cloud Engineer’s primary responsibility is to maintain and improve our servers infrastructure, mainly in AWS, using both managed and self-hosted services. All our products are online and heavily rely on our server infrastructure. We are looking for someone to expand our team with a:
- DevOps/Cloud Engineer
- 40 hours/week
- Amsterdam
What you will be doing in this role:
- You make sure all our instances at Amazon (AWS) run without a whisper
- Write Ansible playbooks for provisioning and deployment
- Implement and spread the best integration and deployment practices
How you will be doing this:
- You are part of a self-managed operations team
- For our deployments, you will be using Ansible, Terraform and Bamboo
- You work pro-actively and don`t only take work that is assigned to you but also come up with ideas to improve.
What we did in the last months:
We took over infrastructure, freshly-migrated to AWS, from an external team, which means there’s a lot to create, improve and clean up.
Who you’ll be working with:
- Other DevOps Engineers
- Other developers (mostly back-end)
What we ask from you:
- 3+ years of full-time experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar in an online environment
- Knowledge of multiple (programming) languages among which are Python and Bash
- Sound knowledge and experience with AWS, Git and Linux servers
- You worked with some continuous integration tools like Bamboo
- You have experience with some configuration management tools like Ansible
- You have an “automate-everything” approach, along with IaC experience, i.e. Terraform
- You have a healthy pragmatic attitude, “being smart, getting things done”
- Being able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Documenting your work – sharing thoughts and results
- Experience with Docker and/or AWS Certification would be nice
- You like an informal but professional atmosphere
