About the role:

Join our client's Virtual Mobile Devices team as a Senior iOS Simulator Automation Engineer. In this position, you will work in an agile environment, working closely with the Product Owner and other skilled engineers. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the client's platform, which enables customers to test mobile apps and browsers on remotely hosted iOS simulators.

Responsibilities: 

• Automate deployment of cloud-based iOS simulator runtimes.
• Optimize start times for iOS simulator runtimes.
• Ensure the performance and security of iOS simulators.
• Support testing frameworks used for apps and browsers on iOS simulators, including XCTest and Appium.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Xcode and iOS simulator runtime 
• Expertise in macOS automation and optimization 
• Experience with iOS app testing automation frameworks such as Appium and XCTest 
• Familiarity with Apple Virtualization Framework

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with asynchronous Python Twisted programming 
• macOS internals (OS, Darwin kernel) knowledge 
• Experience with iOS app development 
• Experience with Apple Virtualization Framework management tools, such as tart 
• Contribution to the Appium OSS project
