Job description
This position entails providing a wide range of DevOps / Cloud Operations services to the IBM DB2 Warehouse on Cloud and DB2 on Cloud product and service teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, procurement, deployment and management of Armada / Kubernetes based linux clusters / nodes / bare metal systems on IBM Cloud and AWS platforms, procurement and allocation of various types of IBM Cloud storage, scaling and de-scaling of cluster resources.
Candidates will need to work closely with IBM Cloud teams, as well as internal development, network, and security teams to procure and manage resources. Typical responsibilities in this role include gathering customer requirements, translating those requirements into deliverable tasks, procuring and deploying resources in an agreed upon time frame.
Candidates must be willing to work in a fast paced Cloud environment, share rotational on-call duty coverage (off hours, weekends, holidays) with the global Ops team, support the back-end Cloud infrastructure components, identify and automate for speed and efficiency, as needed.

- Basic understanding of networking

- Familiarity with Go a plus

Senior position:
