The Transactional Banking Design Team designs & builds global payment features and products for millions of retail banking customers around the world. We're a team of product managers, developers, analysts, UX writers and designers based in Kraków, London, Hong Kong, Pune, and China. 

The role 

We are searching for a Senior Product Designer to join the Transactional banking team. You'll be creating UX and UI designs for payments solutions and help re-invent the old ones too. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create world class experiences for our customers.

What you’ll do

• Work alongside product and business stakeholder to develop customer centric design solutions - aligning business and customer needs.
• Discover and define customer needs by collaborating with research teams to drive a user-centered design approach.
• Develop exceptional design experiences and flows, prototypes and pixel perfect UI leveraging and contributing to the HSBC design system.
• Setup and run workshops and collaborative working sessions with stakeholders and designers to align on best-in-class design solutions.
• Validate your ideas and designs through concept testing and usability testing.
• Continually support global design, creating consistent experiences across all HSBC locations and platforms.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

• An impressive design portfolio, showcasing a range of projects and your approach to problem solving.
• Focused on smart solutions and being the customer’s voice within the organisation.
• Experience building products for Android, iOS, and web.
• Strong visual design skills. An in-depth working understanding of design systems, UI and interaction design.
• Ability to prioritize projects and sole complex problems.
• Strong understanding and application of user-centred design methods and principles
• Experience working and collaborating with a diverse team. Taking tech, risk, and business teams on a journey with you
• Ability to strongly articulate your design work and rationale to your peers and cross-functional team.
• A qualification in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or the equivalent professional experience
