Your career opportunity

The role covers CS Compute Midrange across all Regions and will interface with other business areas and departments, including Cybersecurity, Group IBM i Support (GiS), Global Risk Domains, Internal and External Audit. The role includes managing tasks and functional activities in collaboration with other Compute - Midrange team members across the Group, communicating with staff from diverse cultures across multiple time zones. The jobholder will also continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology.

What you’ll do

• Contribute to all related activities within the Midrange (IBM i) domain.
• Define and managing the IBM i projects.
• Define and managing the IBM i security processes.
• Drive security excellence within the domain.
• Define CS control requirements for the IBM i security domain in policies and procedures.
• Operate a first line of defence to ensure compliance with policies and standards.
• Provide consultation and subject matter expertise to the organization.

What you need to have to succeed in this role:

• Good Project Management skills and proven track record in delivering change.
• Deep knowledge of subject matter, specifically in relation to Midrange Systems – IBM I (iSeries/AS400).
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Ability to think creatively to deliver innovative solutions.
• Ability to build connections and work collaboratively across boundaries.
• Ability to engage others.
• Ability to work autonomously.
