    Global Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information, technology and cybersecurity risks by ensuring these are well-understood, and that controls used the manage such events are defined, assessed and implemented appropriately. Cybersecurity predominantly deliver this via objective, independent, professional and specialized subject matter experts.


    The Cybersecurity Assessment and Testing (CSAT) function, part of Global Cybersecurity, is accountable for Vulnerability Management, Cloud Security, Secure Development (inc. DevSecOps), Threat and Controls Assessment (inc. threat modelling) and Third Party Security Assessment. The function drives the identification, capture, assessment, testing/ verification and ultimately the remediation of security defects, gaps and vulnerabilities across HSBC’s estate in concert with business and technology teams - on-premise, within the Cloud and for those resulting from third party engagements.


    The Governance & Workforce Manager will be a key part of the CSAT Governance and Delivery Team, reporting to the CSAT Head of Governance. They will need to closely collaborate with CSAT and Cybersecurity Senior Management as well as key stakeholders in the 2/3LOD.



    What you’ll do


    • Supporting the organisation/delivery of management meetings (formal and informal), including: agenda, meeting materials and tracking of Actions and Issues through to conclusion
    • Ensuring key commitments (e.g meeting actions, INA, Helios, MSII, regulatory requirements, external audit) are captured, routinely updated, challenged to ensure quality, driven through to conclusion and submitted into Cyber governance on time
    • Supporting Hiring Managers with recruitment: raising new roles/ backfills/ conversions/ extensions, developing FAQs guides, monitoring progress and providing input where needed to expediate hiring
    • Managing CSAT WFM tooling: Headcount Tracker, Open Role Tracker and Service Provider Tracker and monitoring CSAT workforce including; Perm/ contractor split; High/ low cost locations; voluntary exits
    • Developing and maintaining metrics/ reporting related to resourcing and recruitment, providing regular reports/updates to CSAT leadership team and Cybersecurity WFM
    • Representing CSAT at Cybersecurity Workforce Management Meetings
    • Ensuring team members are correctly allocated as covered workers
    • Inputting into the CSAT multiyear forecasting (monthly process).



    What you need to have to succeed in this role


    • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to present to large audiences and develop executive reports/ presentations.
    • Proven ability to influence, challenge and manage stakeholders within 1, 2, 3LOD.
    • Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy and focus also in a remote environment
    • Creative problem solver, comfortable with a high level of ambiguity.
    • Pro-active, independent, collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
    • Demonstrates flexibility when addressing shifting or competing priorities.
    • Process orientated, outstanding organizational skills.
    • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Teams, Excel and Confluence.
