    The role primarily supports the Protect and Unlock pillars of the Strategy.

    Accountable and responsible for the proactive management and delivery oversight of the Data Asset Services portfolio, inclusive of, customer and reference data mastering, the delivery of customer and reference data assets, plus the delivery of an end-to-end data asset publication and distribution service.  

    This role will work with stakeholders, including business sponsors, to ensure the definition and management against an agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, etc), ensuring programme delivery aligns to the Data strategy and its strategic objectives. The role holder may manage or influence teams of people from across multiple areas to deliver the scope of work, allocate tasks and ensure short and long-term priorities are clear.

    What you’ll do

    • Coordinate, manage and drive the portfolio oversight of DAOs highest priority programmes/initiatives under the Data Asset Services portfolio.
    • Implement, enhance, and manage Data Asset Services portfolio reporting, including status reporting, plans, dependencies, risks, issues, and benefits tracking.
    • Surface and articulate in a consistent and concise manner the portfolio delivery and priorities, ensuring portfolio reporting is accurate and priority risks, issues and dependencies are escalated as required. 
    • Operationalize all Data Asset Services portfolio governance, leading regular governance meetings including Working Groups and Portfolio Committees with senior stakeholders.
    • Ensure the continuous assessment and prioritization of initiatives under the Data Asset Services portfolio, including the implementation and embedment of change control. 
    • Support to the senior portfolio manager as the single point of contact for Head of Data Asset Services for all matters relating to the Data Asset Services portfolio.
    • Development, maintenance, and communication of Data Asset Services portfolio KPIs and metrics, evidencing tangible progress against strategic objectives.
    • Support the development of all Data Asset Services communications and reporting from a working level up to the GEC.
    • Development and maintenance of Data Asset Services materials to support both governances, planning and stakeholder management.

    What you need to have to succeed in this role

    • Experience in reporting progress, issues, dependencies, risks, and issues to portfolio committees and making recommendations to influence decision making to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization.
    • Ability to engage of all impacted parties, ensuring portfolio reporting is accurate, timely and surfaces priority areas of interest to the Head of Change, Head of Delivery & Strategy, the Chief Data & Analytics Office, and the GEC.
    • Proven track record of driving portfolio delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, interdependencies, budget, issues, and risks.
    • Ability to set high expectations on quality and put in place quality assurance processes.
    • Experience in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders of varying level of seniority.
    • Proven track record of designing improvements, improvements implementation and change interventions.
    • Strong in risk identification, risk reporting and devising interventions to mitigating risks.
    • Knowledge of budget management and forecasting.
