HL Tech is a modern technology centre supporting software development and strategic digital transformation of the British financial market giant, Hargreaves Lansdown(HL). HL is the UK’s number one platform for private investors, looking after £132.3 billion of savings and investments on behalf of over 1.7 million clients.

HL Tech was founded in July 2017 in Warsaw and currently employs 80 of the best IT experts in their field, who focus on clean code, autonomy in projects, customer needs, best practices and good design. At HL Tech, we create a space for innovation and development based on the culture of knowledge sharing, constant learning, feedback and friendly atmosphere.

We are looking for a person with solid background in frontend development as well as  great understanding of current and new trends in this area. Based on this knowledge you will be responsible for designing and revising existing standards, technologies, architecture and tools used on daily basis. The Chapter Lead is also expected to build and promote  the company's Front-end Community as well as take responsibility for cross-project solutions and technologies used in product teams. In addition you will be a mentor of front-end developers. 

Majority of colleagues are working remotely, but there is possibility to work from office which is located in Warsaw Spire.

Please note that we offer three work options: office-based (Warsaw Spire), hybrid and fully remote( for candidates residing more than 100 km from Warsaw). However, all work must be performed within Poland, and remote work from abroad is not available.
 
We encourage employees to participate in company events (team meetings, conferences, integration activities, etc) at least once per quarter/half year.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have:

  • Min. 7 years of experience in frontend development 
  • Experience in leading  a team or Community of developers 
  • Excellent knowledge of SPA frameworks (especially React) and Typescript 
  • In-depth knowledge of frontend testing tools and methodologies  
  • Experience in defining software pipeline in Jenkins / Gitlab CI / GH Action or similar  
  • Proficiency with git, npm & node 
  • Familiarity with networking and infrastructure 
  • Experience in cloud based web applications development (aws preferred) and containerization (kubernetes, docker) 
  • Great communication skills  
  • communicative knowledge of Polish

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Node based fullstack framework 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinating frontend development across multiple squads by defining enterprise architecture, technical standards and processes  
  • Developing and maintaining cross-project libraries, pipelines and documentations 
  • Leading an engaged community of frontend developers, encouraging knowledge sharing  
  • Working together with leaders of dev teams and other chapters   
  • Shaping recruitment & onboarding process 
  • Mentoring & advising developers on their personal development 
  • Representing company on external events
