Our Substation Automation group is looking for a group leader willing to develop in an international environment who can manage a group of 15-25 software engineers. Your responsibilities

Line management of a software development team
Leverage employees’ skills and competencies and support employees’ development
Drive process and cultural changes in the organization towards increased quality and execution
Close cooperation with Product Management and R&D Management in order to meet customer and market expectations
Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality components within a specified scope
Strict process adherence - confirm and later monitor defined quality metrics
Drive a good collaboration culture in between the local teams in Krakow and other Hitachi Energy R&D locations

Your background

Deep understanding and 4+ years of experience in Software Development and at least 4 years of experience in leading teams or groups
Understanding of all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle: Requirements Engineering; Development; Verification and Validation; Configuration Management in Agile environment
Knowledge of key infrastructure technologies: operating systems, infrastructure security, networking, databases, embedded development
Energetic and enthusiastic, passionate and creative thinker, able to translate to pragmatic solutions
Excellent leadership skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Experience in the energy and utility industry would be a plus
