We are launching a new scrum team to join a scrum-of-scrums project and we are hunting for a great

Lead Developer, Microservices

For one of our customers, big Nordic retail group, we develop tailor-made IT systems. Our new scrum team will be responsible for the development of new functionalities and changes to the current solution on both: front-end and back-end applications. You will experience significance, autonomy and tasks variety. You will deliver meaningful solutions that bring real value to our customer.

As Lead Developer, you need to be passionate about developing high-quality, well architected, lightning-fast microservice applications, that deal with highly complex business logic but produce simple decoupled APIs for consumers. This role will focus on back-end microservices, however if you also feel good at UI layer, that will be an asset.

You will be working in an international team having as partners highly skilled colleagues. From time to time, you will be travelling to Nordic countries.

Must have skills include:

Expert in building microservices
At least 3 years of experience with custom software development and microservice architecture
Leading technical implementation, architectural skills (high-level view)
Experience in developing applications deployed on AWS, Heroku and Azure
Experience in using agile methods, ideally Scrum
Very good English skills

Lead Developer should have at least 1-3 years of experience with most of the tech-stack listed below:

Java (Spring, Kotlin)
Some DB experience (development)
Elastic Search
CSS/HTML, XML
React, JavaScript
Node.js
TypeScript, Redux
Responsive design frameworks, like bootstrap
Capable of building UI and pure front-end independently, when needed
Experience in working with highly automated build pipelines, tools and continuous integration
Writing automated unit tests for every feature you develop and understand why this is important
