Job description

We are looking for a Lead Java Developer, who will share his experience in our stable project for an international client from the insurance industry and support Digital Software Services departament in such area: estimation, contact with customers, technical veryfication, system architecture

Duties:

  • Challenge and discuss feature and architecture approach from customer side
  • Propose the most suitable solution for customer environment
  • Proof of Concept and features development
  • Participating in spreading the Clean Code culture, pair programming and working at SAFe
  • Cooperation with virtual scrum teams
  • Working with client-server architecture
  • Taking care of high code quality
  • Writing unit and integration tests
  • You will have influence on application development
  • Participations in pre-sales activities with potential customers
  • Software architecture creation in accordance to business requirements
  • Active contribution in technology radar creation within DSS unit
  • Technical guidance and support of less experienced colleagues

Requirements:

  • Several years of experience in Java (especially Java8)
  • Experience with Oracle database
  • Experience with JPA
  • Ability to share knowledge and introduce IT solutions
  • Close cooperation with customers
  • Spreading best engineering practices
  • Fluent English and German
  • Scrum working experience

Nice to have:

  • Experience with:
  • Eclipse rcp, SWT
  • IBM WebSphere
  • Maven

  • knowledge of BPM (in particular Camunda BPM)
