SQL Engineer

Role and responsibilities:

• Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms.
• Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software.
• Follow Microsoft SQL and database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
• Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL
• Create/Modify powershell scripts which transform and load data and any other process automation required
• Develop/Improve stored procedures functions using T-SQL
• Responsible for SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
• Well versed with GIT version control and CI-CD dev-ops deployment(Git, Azure DevOps) Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people

Qualifications

• 5 years + SQL Developer experience and supporting in-house applications in a deadline driven environment
• T-SQL Analysis
• Strong ability to lead technical discussions and technical issues resolution
• Effective written and verbal communication skills analytical ability
• Fine tune existing Stored Procedures and Dynamic SQL
• Automate/scripting experience to automate processes and redundant tasks.

Mandatory skils:

• Should be OK working with only T-SQL database application and not having any strict reservations to work only in Data ware housing/Data lake solutions.
• Highly proficient in SQL based applications involving stored procedure, problem fixes, and enhancements of Database application.
• Develop/Improve stored procedures functions/programs using T-SQL
• Must process automation experience preferably with PowerShell, Proficient in Create/Modify PowerShell scripts which transform and load data and any other process automation required.
• Responsible for SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
