NETAPP Consultant

 Job Responsibilities:

•  SME is responsible for Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, Availability and Capacity Management for Storage systems and SAN fabric switches.
•  Manage L3 production/project support activities.
•  Lead escalations - within Storage and cross platform.
•  Responsible for system improvement and performance tuning on Storage devices.
•  Responsible for software and firmware upgrades on Storage and SAN.
•  Participate or lead storage projects independently.
•  Coordinate Hardware/Software break fix with vendors.
•  Work on flexible working hours including weekends.
•  Involved in Routine Operational support and troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

•  Minimum of 5+ years of experience in NetApp Storage technology with a strong understanding (Hands-on support and troubleshooting experience) on NetApp storage Systems.
•  Strong Storage concepts and hands-on experience on NetApp tools such as OCUM, SnapCenter, System manager & SnapDrive
•  Expert knowledge of provisioning & administration of SVMs, snapmirror configurations & SVM DRs
•  Hands-on experience with NetApp Cloning Administration, Snapshots policy configuration, Performance Management, Multipath Management.
•  Level 3 skills in NetApp Cluster-mode to perform Capacity balancing tasks, adding nodes to cluster, volume migrations & NetApp cluster setup.
•  Knowledge of SAN zoning on CISCO & Brocade
•  Experience of administration & configuration of NFS & CIFS, FC, FCOE on NetApp Systems
•  Hands on experience in Multiprotocol access (simultaneous access of fileshares from NetApp to Windows/Linux clients) configurations and troubleshooting.
•  Hands on experience on Quota Management (Hard/Soft)..
•  Experience in planning and execution of firmware upgrades & Ontap upgrades on NetApp storage devices.
•  Ability to Create/Modify Zone sets, perform/plan data Replication, Monitor storage device ports.
•  Good knowledge on Shell or Perl scripting for monitoring or automating storage tasks.
•  Experience in working with storage vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
•  Experience in performing Root cause analysis.
•  Excellent communications, customer service & documentation skills, oral and written.
