In this team, you are responsible for organizing the financial recording, financial and actuarial reporting in such a way that these reports pass through the financial IT chain in a timely and efficient manner. The financial IT chain is broad and complex. The financial IT chain includes investments, financial bookings, actuarial reporting and financial reporting for IFRS and Solvency II. The chain includes knowledge of financial systems (SAP Fico) and reporting systems (SAP BW, SAP BCS, SAP Disclosure Management, CXO, Powercenter, Risk engines such as IGLOO and ALGO). Achmea has a complex financial landscape and this requires that you enjoy a challenge to take control of it.

Your primary task as an application manager is to take responsibility for the content of the application. So that it is delivered in accordance with SLA. This requires you to effectively manage the ITIL processes (incident, problem and change, etc.) where continuity, availability and capacity are and remain guaranteed. In the context of 1Finance, we ensure that we provide First Time Right (FTR) and Straight Through Processing (STP). This requires you to be clear and not to correct yourself, but to confront people about incorrect submissions. In addition, you ensure that manual work is a thing of the past and that chains run without human intervention.

Many of the applications run on standard SAP platforms. The risk engines and specific financial software run on proprietary platforms. This concerns applications such as ALGO (Linux) and IGLOO, CXO, QPR (Windows) and applications for Reinsurance. The technical release team (TRT) scrum team in the FR&C is specifically responsible for installing these applications. In the coming years we will have the necessary challenge to bring ALGO to the Cloud and later implement it on an OpenShift platform. In addition, the scrum team supports developers with technical issues such as links between standard platforms and other technical components (ftp, databases, firewalls, Citrix, workplace software, etc.).

You have good technical knowledge of Linux and/or Windows. And understands how to operationalize an application on those operating systems. In addition, you are able to master the functional knowledge of the application and provide guidance based on chain plates, where you monitor the availability and continuity of the chain. As an application manager you are responsible for the changes before they go to production. You accept these changes on behalf of all parties involved in the management and consult with them. You form the bridge between developers and administrators to bring changes to production in a good, safe and controlled manner. You direct the chain and connect those involved in the chain so that the chain functions more effectively and efficiently with each release.
