Frontend Engineer

This is a hybrid model of work (3 days per week from the office in Warsaw)

Team keen to get someone ASAP, so won’t consider any longer than 1 month notice at this point

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Developer to join our team in uplifting the user interface of a complex pricing application for structured notes. This role involves modernizing the UI while ensuring ongoing support and compatibility with our legacy system.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and backend developers to modernize the user interface of a complex financial application.
• Implement new features and maintain existing components using React JS and related technologies.
• Refactor legacy codebases while preserving functionality.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and high-quality code through testing and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development workflows and standards.

Requirements:

Must-Have Skills:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React JS (with Hooks and Context API) and standard JavaScript.
• Solid understanding and usage of TypeScript.
• Familiarity with modern CSS techniques and tools (e.g., CSS-in-JS, SCSS).
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including design patterns and unit testing.
• Experience with frontend build tools and workflows such as Webpack, npm, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Redux Toolkit Query, React Query, or similar data-fetching libraries.
• Familiarity with building complex forms using React form libraries (e.g., React Hook Form, Formik).
• Hands-on experience with Ag-Grid or similar grid libraries.
• Background in refactoring and enhancing legacy codebases.
• A strong appreciation for user experience and good UI/UX design principles.
