Platform Engineer

Platform Engineer (remote, within PL)

Your role:

• Developing and maintaining the virtualization platform solution.
• Providing low-level design and implementing features based on requirements
• Designing and implementing functional and performance tests
• Contributing to user manuals creation, functional testing (manual and automated) and participation in system integration tests.
• Automating the platform's installation, upgrades, configuration, and hardening.

Basic Requirements:

• 2 + years of commercial experience with Powershell scripting (Bash/Python nice to have).
• Proven experience in operating systems and virtualization / hypervisor development (Redhat, KVM).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps tools and processes (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory).
• Experience in operating systems internals (e.g. memory management & task scheduling, device drivers, interrupts etc.).
• Experience with hardware administration and configuration (server side).
• Experience with GIT and JIRA.

Additional skills:

• Degree in computer science, telecommunications or similar.
• Experience with Direct-Attached Storage administration and configuration.
• Solid understanding of system security aspects.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols and services.
• CCNA, RHCSA, and RHCE certificates.
