Data Engineer (Partly in Paris)

The office is located in Paris, France.

The work is divided into: roughly 3 months remote in Poland, 3 weeks stationary in the Paris office.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure within a Microsoft ecosystem. Your primary responsibility will be to develop robust data warehouses, ensuring seamless data integration and transformation to support our business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design and Develop Data Warehouses: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable data warehouses that centralize data from various sources, ensuring high availability and performance for analytical and reporting purposes.

·         Build and Optimize Data Pipelines: Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, leveraging Microsoft technologies such as Azure Data Factory and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

·         Manage and Enhance Data Infrastructure: Monitor and enhance the performance of our data infrastructure, implementing best practices to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

·         Data Processing Solutions: Deploy and manage advanced data processing solutions to handle large-scale datasets and complex data transformations within the Microsoft stack.

·         Documentation and Collaboration: Develop comprehensive documentation for data processes and architecture, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.

What We're Looking For:

·         Experience: 5-7 years of proven experience in data engineering roles, with a strong background in developing and managing data warehouses in a Microsoft environment.

·         Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Microsoft BI technologies, including SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Power BI. Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture.

·         Optimization Skills: Ability to optimize data infrastructure for performance and scalability in large, complex environments.

·         Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. French language proficiency is a plus.
