Your role in the team
Our Data Management team is nothing if not ambitious. We pride ourselves on delivering operational and analytical solutions ranging from traditional batch data warehousing to low latency applications.
As a Development Lead in Krakow, you’ll manage a scrum team of developers working with large volumes of data. We also integrate our platform with a range of internal and external systems. If you’re anything like us you’ll be interested in new tech and how it can be applied to data management. Our internal customer base is growing all the time, and we’re establishing ourselves as a true enterprise team using the latest technologies to make sure all customers get the best possible service.
Skills needed
• Experience in a team management position (ideally at least a year)
• The desire to motivate, develop and deal with day to day issues including performance management
• Experience in designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance
• Agile mindset and practice in software development process e.g. Scrum, Kanban, TDD, BDD
• Experience with Big data platforms: Apache Spark / Hadoop
• Experience with cloud solutions for Big Data (Snowflake, GCP BigQuery, AWS Redshift) is a plus
• Experience with data pipelines (e.g. Airflow) and streaming processing (Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming, Flink)
• Development using streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, etc..)
• Knowledge of Java and/or Python
• Test development within automation frameworks, with a strong focus on the automation of CI Builds, SQL Unit Testing and ETL Processes.
• Experience with supporting Data Scientist (Machine Learning) is a plus
