Role Overview

As we scale, strong technical leadership is essential to keep our platform innovative, reliable, and future-proof. Continuous feature development and platform improvements require clear leadership, strong team support, and a focus on engineering excellence. We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead and support our development team while ensuring we continue to build a high-quality, reliable and scalable platform. The Engineering Manager is responsible for supporting developers in their growth, strengthening team collaboration, and creating an environment where engineers can do their best work. You work closely with product, delivery and technical leadership to ensure the team operates smoothly and continues to evolve with the company. Key Responsibilities

• People & Culture:

  • Hiring, onboarding and coaching of engineers

  • Support healthy team communication and alignment

  • Strengthen collaboration between product, delivery and engineering

• Technical Leadership:

  • Lead and support the development team in their day-to-day work

  • Support the team in solving complex technical challenges

  • Uphold high engineering standards: definition of done, code reviews, testing, security and maintainability

  • Make calls on technical debt and refactoring priorities

• Product & Delivery:

  • Support clear and effective development workflows for the team

  • Define outcomes, shape scope and make practical trade-offs

  • Identify and remove obstacles that slow down development

  • Ensure tasks and projects are completed on schedule, with regular progress reporting to the board

Required Profile

• 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including at least 3 years in an Engineering Manager role

• Proven track record of leading software engineering teams

• Enough technical depth to evaluate trade-offs, discuss architecture decisions and lead engineers credibly

• Familiarity with the GoPhoto stack (Go, AWS, TypeScript) is a strong advantage

• Ability to mentor and coach engineers (onboarding, feedback & growth plans)

• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration

• Practical mindset for improving processes and strengthening accountability

• The ability to partner effectively with Product Managers, CTO-level leadership and other stakeholders

• Fluency in English is required, as we operate in an international environment.
