    Technical Program Manager, ChromeOS

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage complex, cross-functional programs from inception to completion. Drive alignment, coordinate dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of high-impact projects.
    • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and key milestones. Manage resources effectively, anticipate and mitigate risks, and drive projects to successful completion.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize development, quality and performance. Collaborate with engineering teams to drive continuos improvement for ChromeOS product. 
    • Establish key performance indicators and metrics, collect and analyze data, and use insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across engineering teams, product management, and other functions. Communicate effectively, influence decisions, and manage expectations.


    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 2 years of experience in program management on technical cross-functional projects.
    • Software engineering experience (either with C++, Python or Java).


    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience shipping large scale, open source software.
    • Understanding of the software development life cycle; comfortable conversing on technical topics and products.
    • In-depth familiarity with one source code management system (Git, SVN, Perforce).
    • Ability to identify technical issues and understand how to resolve them.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills; ability to communicate complex interaction concepts and risks clearly and persuasively in a highly engineering-driven environment.
