Job description
GogoApps currently has nearly 50 specialists creating web and mobile applications. We began as a VC-backed startup, but now we’ve evolved into a company providing software development and design for clients all around the world. We are seeking talented, hardworking, and agile Backend Engineers to help us build our scalable software platform. The successful candidate will be a leader with can-do attitude, and able to direct and mentor more junior engineers.

- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code
- Work on secure, robust and scalable architecture and features
- Maintain and refactor of the existing codebase
- Testing your own code
Skills/Requirements:
- Over 3 years of experience in one of backend technologies (Python/RoR/PHP) and few not-so-small projects in the portfolio
- Strong knowledge of software architectural topics
- Understanding of design principles behind a scalable application
- Knowing the differences between SQL and NoSQL and being able to decide which one is better in given situation
- Knowing what REST and/or CQRS is
- Experience with unit/e2e/integration testing
- Experience in SCRUM
- Communicative English
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of security topics regarding the APIs and the web applications
- Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud services
- Experience in enterprise-class projects
- Experience with modern web apps: SPAs, JS with frameworks and libs like Angular, React or similar
