GOG seeks talented Software Engineers to join one of our cross-functional product squads responsible for developing core services for the GOG ecosystem. Work hand in hand with our sister company, CD PROJEKT RED and other AAA game developers on delivering the best online gaming experiences that reach millions of gamers.
You will be joining the Data Wizards team, which is responsible for data analysis across our company. We gather, validate and process data to make life easier for all teams and their members.
Since we are familiar with processing data, we also use these skills to develop solutions that are related to personalizing the content of our store for end users. The team is a combination of Data Analysts and Engineers. And with you onboard, we are also planning to focus on the frontend side of our work, such as A/B testing.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain features on our websites.
- Integrate frontend with backend APIs.
- Build, maintain and improve components used for A/B Tests.
- Add mechanisms in our applications for analytics purposes.
- Working closely with designers and back-end developers to plan and develop our projects.
- Sharing your knowledge with other team members and supporting them in solving complex challenges.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Ability to work both independently as well as in close collaboration with frontend developers in other squads.
- Good knowledge of JavaScript.
- Writing high quality, well designed, testable and maintainable code.
- Attention to detail, necessary to create pixel perfect templates.
- Enthusiasm and the willingness to constantly grow your skills.
- Ability to easily communicate in English.
Nice to have:
- Being familiar with TypeScript and any JS frameworks (preferably Angular).
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks (i.e. Bootstrap).
- Hands-on experience with BEM.
- Knowledge of performance optimizations techniques and ways to hunt memory leaks.
- Experience with writing unit tests.
