Job description

The sister company of CD PROJEKT RED (responsible for the worldwide success of The Witcher, the video game series adapted from Andrzej Sapkowski's books), GOG.com is a digital distribution platform, which offers customers the greatest selection of Windows, Mac and Linux games, both classics and day-one titles, DRM-free, with lots of extra goodies and amazing customer support. We are currently on the look-out for a passionate leader with technical expertise in supporting Quality Assurance. It’s crucial to us, that the person in this role will show a positive attitude as well as a goal driven approach to tasks at hand. On top of that we would expect them to be able to define requirements and execute upon devised plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Regular management of objectives, priorities, trade-offs, risks and performance of QA employees.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership, career development, and mentoring to team members.
  • Maintain a high morale and motivate QA Engineers to go above and beyond.
  • Be a vocal advocate for technical excellence and help the team make the best possible  decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology solutions, in order to propose innovative ideas to solve business challenges.
  • Assist Producers in developing, documenting, and executing best in class quality standards, policies, and processes.
  • Work closely with the customer support team on determining root causes for issues reported by GOG.com users and recommend changes to prevent similar occurrences.
  • Measure product quality through meaningful quality metrics.

Requirements:
  • Strong people management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • An “anything can be achieved” attitude.
  • Previous technical hands on experience in QA.
  • Ability to easily communicate in English.

Pluses:
  • Experience in building QA processes from the ground up.
  • Passion for gaming, game services, and online communities.
