GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced Data Engineer to join our engineering team.

We help the Global Data & Analytics team build a best-in-class data platform offering powerful capabilities to build data solutions in a fast & self-service manner. Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in building high-scale data applications, data engineering or a Data Architect role
• Excellent knowledge of database systems and data modellng and data warehousing concepts
• Extensive experience with Python (or Java/Scala) & SQL
• Hands-on experience working on Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
• Hands-on experience with data streaming tools & services
• Hands-on with the tools that we use Git, Docker, Airflow
• Knowledge of scalable application architecture
• Experience with using Kubernetes and CI/CD & Terraform
• Have a growth mindset and problem-solving attitude
• Ability to communicate in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with data build tools
• Experience in building a Data Platform
• Experience with Databricks

Responsibilities:

• Design and build data pipelines to collect, manage and store data across different solutions and tools where the data resides
• Organize and manage data of diverse types and a variety of sources
• Mentor junior members of the team by providing them with guidance and feedback on their work (pair programming, code review, etc.)
• Work with the Lead DE to implement standards and best practices
• Take part in architectural reviews along with other senior members of the team and own architectural decisions for solutions you deliver
• Actively contribute to solving data problems
• Enable downstream functionalities such as data analytics and business intelligence by building tools and technologies
