We’re cooperating with a startup e-commerce company from Germany. The current team consists of 7 senior engineers and we are looking for a talented Mid/Senior Backend Engineer to join us. In general, the project focuses on collecting information about users and personalizing advertisements. You will help us develop an ever-growing web-based product and be responsible for building distributed backend systems together with our highly skilled tech professionals.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in backend engineering, profound knowledge of Java, and a deep understanding of the surrounding technology ecosystem
Able to work across the full SW live cycle from design to test
An eye for clean, testable, maintainable, and performant code
Proficiency in NoSQL and SQL databases
Experience with continuous delivery systems and build tools (CI/CD, Git, Gradle, SBT)
Excellent communication skills
Very good spoken and written English
Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop/Spark, Kafka) would be a nice to have
