GlobalLogic is inviting an experienced Android Middleware Automotive Developer to join our engineering team.

This autmotive – related project is just entering the production phase and moving to maitenance. It is a Linux + Android platform supporting IVI (In-Vehicle Infotainment).

Requirements:

Must Have:

• 3+ years of experience in software development
• Knowledge of AOSP or Android Automotive
• Experience with Android Studio, Java, and Kotlin
• Familiarity with the Android framework and connectivity stack
• Experience in BSP and HW bring-up with custom HAL development and integration
• Proficiency with source control tools like Git and repo
• Experience with connectivity (WiFi/Bluetooth), multimedia, or audio domain
• Strong proficiency in spoken and written English

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Android Auto or CarPlay
• Knowledge of common and mobile architectures
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Gerrit, and GitHub in product development
• Understanding of Agile Software Development
• Experience with network log analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience with native code (C++), crash analysis

Responsibilities:

• Create software architecture
• Participate in customer requirements analysis
• Extend and expose APIs to the framework and application layer
• Design, develop, support, and visually control AOSP; maintain and port code from Android 6 to Android 8 for NXP IMX platforms
• Integrate Android architectures and HMI components
• Support and integrate system services, SELinux/SEAndroid
• Analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot complex automotive software systems
• Supervise and implement developed software concepts
• Collaborate with other teams to resolve issues
• Participate in strategic decisions with project management
