About role 💻

We are looking for a talented and dedicated Software Engineer to join our team. The individual in this role will be responsible for designing, creating, testing, and maintaining software. Our goal is to develop efficient, reliable, and scalable software solutions that meet the specific needs of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the development of tools that support SQL workload migration operations
• Focusing efforts on tools capable of automated code conversion from SQL dialects like Snowflake, Transact SQL, and PL/SQL
• Working towards developing functionality for lineage inference to help understand data movement and dependencies in migrated queries
• Directing efforts to generate features for random data generation that facilitate testing and validation of migrated queries
• Planning to conduct iterative testing of developed tools for reliability, performance, and accuracy while aiming for high unit testing coverage
• Commitment to promptly addressing and resolving any bugs or issues encountered during the operation of the product
• Working in conjunction with the existing team to develop production-grade tooling
• Maintaining open communication lines with team members, aligning on project expectations and timelines

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Software Engineering
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one OOP language (e.g., Java, Python, Scala)
• Familiarity with Databricks
• Experience with Open-Source and Unity Catalog is a plus
• Fundamental knowledge of data engineering, building data platforms, and solutions
• Understanding complexity and relationships between businesses, suppliers, partners, competitors, and clients
• Ability to actively participate/lead discussions with clients to identify and assess concrete and ambitious avenues for improvement
