Job description

Online interview
The Future Mind team is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join us in Warsaw (or Tychy). In this role you will play an important part in our product development process. You will be responsible for making sure that our software is bulletproof, runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets our clients' requirements.

If you have 3+ years of experience in developing and carrying out test scenarios for web and mobile applications using a broad scope of tools and you’re looking for an organization with an interesting portfolio of projects where you could put your knowledge to work and make progress, keep reading, and take part in our remote hiring process.

Future Mind was recently awarded a Mobile Trends Award for delivering the best mCommerce application in Poland. Our software engineers work on projects ranging from IoT experiments with large retail corporations to promising VR startups. Our tech stack includes mostly native mobile technologies, Python, Node.js, React, and Angular.

This job is all about:
  • reviewing clients' requirements, technical specifications, and design documentation to provide timely and meaningful feedback;
  • creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test scenarios to validate desired use cases;
  • estimating, prioritizing, planning, scheduling and coordinating testing activities;
  • testing the heck out of our software using such tools as CharlesProxy, Postman, Newman or any of the available alternatives;
  • identifying, tracking, recording, and thoroughly documenting bugs;
  • developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet clients needs;
  • cooperating with internal teams of developers and product managers;
  • monitoring the results of the debugging process, and once bugs are fixed, more testing;
  • learning about and implementing new QA tools and test strategies.

Here's what we're looking for:
  • work experience in web and mobile software quality assurance;
  • strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes;
  • experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test scenarios and use cases;
  • hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing;
  • experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.

We also appreciate (although it's not absolutely required):
  • some hands-on experience and interest in test automation and professional development in that area;
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject will be treated as an advantage.

...and here's what we offer:
  • market rate salary depending on your skills, and the results you achieve;
  • the possibility to significantly impact your projects — your input has real value;
  • opportunity to work with clients from different industries — each project is different;
  • continuous professional development — we all keep learning;
  • financial support when you want to learn, go to a conference or take part in a meetup;
  • flexible working hours and the ability to partially work remotely*;
  • private health insurance and sports membership, coffee, tea, fruit and snacks at work;
  • a Mac, Linux or Windows laptop with one or two additional screens if you need them;
  • comfortable workspace, chill-out space, foosball, and some gaming gear for when you need to relax.

*For now, we all work from our homes, but once the COVID situation settles we are looking forward to coming back to our offices with a possibility to partially work remotely. You can take part in our recruitment process without leaving your home. Stay safe!
