Role description:

As a Mid/Senior Data Engineer focusing on PySpark on Databricks, your role involves designing and implementing technical solutions that incorporate data modeling and integrations, data warehouses, and cloud-based data pipelines. You have worked with Microsoft products and Databricks for several years and understand what modern data work based on cloud services is and the value it can create for customers.

This job is all about:

• Building end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines on Databricks platform utilizing Python and SQL;
• Designing data models based on large, complex data sets that meet both functional and non-functional business requirements;
• Holistic platform view (source systems, networking, orchestration, etc.) with the ability to deliver business value;
• Collaborating within our project teams to meet client needs and deliver high-quality solutions;
• Staying up to date with the latest functionalities of Databricks. 

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Minimum of 4 years commercial experience in data projects;
• Proficiency with both Python and SQL;
• Experience in using Databricks on Azure projects;
• Experience with Airflow, Databricks Workflows, or other orchestration tool;
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest functionalities of Databricks (like delta tables, unity catalog, or iceberg integration);
• Practical understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse platforms implementation;
• Experience with Azure, its infrastructure, and data services;
• Experience in working in international teams with modern project & task management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.;
• Effective communication skills, proficient in Polish, and English;
• You also must have the legal right to work in the EU to apply for this position.
